I had one year that the squirrels ate all the cucumbers small. I think they liked them for the water. I had to net them to get anything at all.
I love my patio because I can easily see my garden from it. It is also easy to get the hose and water my garden. All can be done from the safety of my patio.

Join me as I chronicle my journey of growing fruits and vegetables on my patio and community garden plot in zone 6a.
That's too bad about the cucumber. Thankfully, cucumbers are usually fairly prolific plants, so hopefully you will be able to enjoy a perfect cuke soon.
