Forcing Daffodils Indoors

These are leftovers from the daffodil bulbs planted in the fall. I am curious to see if they make any progress in water. Keep in mind that they have not been exposed to the required extreme cold.

PaperWhites and other Dealings.

Remember the Paper White bulbs I bought last week? Those little bulbs now have plenty of roots and I have moved them into water crystals to grow. I took another trip out to my garden plot and was devastated to see that it was once again completely flooded! Thus, no gardening  got done this weekend there.

Nonetheless, at home, my onions and marigolds have germinated. I am a bit concerned that these seedlings will not get enough light from my windows.

End to the Season

We have not been going to the garden as regular as before and I apologize for not posting as much.  The lot has been run-over by weeds and is really a mess. My alpine strawberries have continued to fruit and flower. The raspberries taste divine. The second batch of carrots it just about ready and today we planted tulips for the spring. Below are some pictures I have been holding on to.
