I picked a few tomatos at the garden today and my first cucumber of the season. Bad news - the cuke was half eaten. Hopefully there will be more (un-eaten) of these to come.

I had one year that the squirrels ate all the cucumbers small. I think they liked them for the water. I had to net them to get anything at all.
I love my patio because I can easily see my garden from it. It is also easy to get the hose and water my garden. All can be done from the safety of my patio.

That's too bad about the cucumber. Thankfully, cucumbers are usually fairly prolific plants, so hopefully you will be able to enjoy a perfect cuke soon.
